Life Insurance Beneficiary
Dispute Lawyers

Why does a life insurance company file an interpleader?

An interpleader is a lawsuit filed by a life insurance company in response to a beneficiary dispute. A beneficiary designation can be challenged on various grounds. An interpleader lawsuit allows a court, not the life insurance company, to decide who should receive the money.
